The Olympic Flame did indeed pass-by Woody Bay Station today.
Unfortunately they could not be persuaded to stop, so the view was only of the large convoy of vehicles making their way from Combe Martin to Lynton.
We understand that local towns and villages, where the flame was carried through the streets by runners, were packed with spectators, enjoying the timely return of warm weather. Several visitors enjoyed a train ride and refreshments at Woody Bay today, mainly people who were on their way to see the Torch Relay through Lynton.
