Lynton and Lynmouth will be more accessible over the summer months now a bus company has agreed to create Sunday and bank holiday services from Barnstaple.
The 310 service from Barnstaple to Lynton, which is operated by Filers, will now have buses running four times a day on Sundays and public holidays until September 23.
The extra services will start on June 3, and will be entirely funded by Filers.
Devon County Councillor Andrea Davis has championed the idea and is delighted with the decision.
She said: "This is great news for Lynton and Lynmouth as all the local businesses will benefit from the extra people coming into the town.
With thanks to Richard Briden of Shelleys Hotel for circulating this information and also to Filers for taking this decision.
