A very busy day with all the preparations for the forthcoming Vintage Weekend at Woody Bay. Signs were brought down from storage upstairs in the shed, an extra marquee was erected for the 'Beer Tent', fences were also positioned to marshal the expected crowds. Grass areas were also cut and a general tidy up of the site took place.
1. The extra marquee was put up to provide space for the 'Beer Tent'.
2. It was of course a usual operating day as AXE departs Woody Bay with the passenger train.
3. After lunch the volunteers worked inside the shed continuing repairs and repaint for Box Van No.62 and some stripping of the old paintwork of the telephone box.
