After the hectic Vintage Vehicle Weekend at Woody Bay it was up to the Thursday Gang to take down and store the signs, fences and marquees. Picnic tables were moved back ready for our visitors. All this work was carried out before lunch with everything put away for next time.
1. Just released, the superbly detailed new book, "The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Measured and Drawn" by Stephen Phillips, has been attracting much interest by Trust Members and Volunteers. There were significant sales to the members over last weekend. Today in the shop Tony Cross was even able to sell more copies to the Thursday volunteers. 'Customers' Nigel, Graham and John pose with Tony after purchasing their own books.

2. Today's catering team of Irene Cross and Judy Williams 'Keep Calm and Carry On' during a quiet moment in the kitchen.

3. After lunch it was time for a few jobs in the shed for the Thursday Group. Young volunteer Toby Manfield brushes out SID's firetubes. SID was used as the 'Driver-for-a-Fiver/Donation' loco over the Vintage Weekend.

4. John Villers works on the telephone box. The old paint layers are being scraped off ready for its repainting into traditional Post Office red.

5. John Heys painting departmental grey onto ex-MoD Box Van No. 62. This van has been in the shed for a few weeks now for bodywork and roof repairs. The van is used for tool and equipment storage and usually stabled in the loading dock siding.
