Last week's heavy snow on Exmoor prevented most people travelling to Woody Bay for the work parties. Just a few days later the weather has turned milder and occasionally wetter!

The snow has now gone but today was dry and windy.  A full turnout of 15 volunteers were on site site today carrying out several contrasting projects.

Here is a selection of views of just some of the work carried out for the railway today.

We are now in the depths of winter with snow and sleet forecast for today although this did not deter three volunteers travelling all the way from Dorset to continue the various projects underway at Woody Bay.

A five-man gang travelled in the works train to Killington Lane to complete the platform works required to accommodate the heritage coaches. The weather conditions were not good, with a biting wind and driving sleet giving us the incentive not to hang around.
