This belated report from Nigel Thompson - five intrepid Devon Group members headed out to Falmouth on Wednesday 20th June

Great Western Railway only operates trains to Okehampton on summer Sundays so today's trip was a chance to sample more of the ex Southern Railways ' Withered Arm' network in Mid Devon. Ten Trust members came along using the Devon Day Ranger ticket.

This month's rail trip was a return to the picturesque fishing village of Looe in South East Cornwall. 10 regulars enjoyed today's trip.

Sidmouth lost its railway during the Beeching closures back in the 1960s. However the town remains a bustling tourist resort on the East Devon coast and today 11 Trust members of the Devon (and Bristol Group) decided to brave the elements for a trip to Sidmouth using public transport.

A total of 11 Devon based L&B Trust members enjoyed a trip to Buckfastleigh via the South Devon Railway on a very wet Wed 14 February.

Seven locally based volunteers enjoyed a rare January day out on the trains today.

Wednesday 15 November

On Wednesday 19th October five Daves and four others enjoyed a local rail trip around South Devon. From Barnstaple to Exeter and then up to Tiverton Parkway. From there we went on to Newton Abbot for a trip to Paignton first.
