Devon Group Rail trip to South Devon - Wednesday 24th January

Seven locally based volunteers enjoyed a rare January day out on the trains today.

From Exeter to Tiverton Parkway first for a coffee. Then to Newton Abbot and back to Teignmouth for a Wetherspoons lunch

1. At the Jolie Brise, a Wetherspoon pub in Teignmouth.

2. Afterwards back on the local trains to....

3. ....Paignton for the model shop and time for tea and cake at a cafe.

We then stopped off at Starcross for a pint at the Atmospheric Railway Inn and finally - for some - another drink at the Great Western Hotel at Exeter.

Our next trip is Wednesday 14th February to the South Devon Railway.

Other trips planned for spring this year are:

Wednesday 14th March probably to Exmouth for a bus to Sidmouth.
11th April TBA
9th May the Exeter & Teign Valley Railway at Christow.
20th June to west Cornwall - possibly Falmouth.
