New Diesel Purchase

The Lynton & Barnstaple Railway this week agreed the purchase of Hunslet diesel locomotive works No. 6652, from Gosport Borough Council.

The railway's newly acquired 'Maffei' steam locomotive "Sid" has now entered service on passenger trains. The locomotive is owned by a small group of the railway's Trustees and is permanently based on the railway.

Lavender Line S&T Donation

On Saturday 28th July, Phil Rawstron & Chris Dadson visited Isfield at the invitation of the Lavender Line to collect a substantial quantity of new and used signalling equipment, which were surplus to the railway's requirements.
