Weekend of 21st & 22nd July 2007

A busy weekend for the Surrey Area Group. We split our resources and attended two separate events held this weekend. One team attended the Guildford Model Engineering Society Show, whilst another team attended the Bluebell Railway’s Collectors Fair at Horsted Keynes.

On the Saturday at the Bluebell Railway event, we were in our allocated space in the car park field. Unfortunately, due to severe bad weather, the field rapidly became a quagmire. The Bluebell Railway in consequence had no option but to cancel the car boot sale scheduled to be held in the same field car park on the Sunday. As a result, many traders packed up and went home Saturday evening. Those who elected to stay, were found display space on the station platforms for the second day.
