Lavender Line S&T Donation

On Saturday 28th July, Phil Rawstron & Chris Dadson visited Isfield at the invitation of the Lavender Line to collect a substantial quantity of new and used signalling equipment, which were surplus to the railway's requirements.

The new items retrieved were signal wire pulleys and point rod rollers. We were also able to claim various used components, including point rod connectors, cranks, signal pivots, etc, together with a complete Westinghouse ground disc signal of the type which was adopted as standard by the Southern Railway. The visit was concluded with a train ride and a meal in the station's Cinders Cafe before heading for home.
