More steady progress this year at the L&BR's second original station.
1. The 'down' running in board at Chelfham. Visitors are welcome at Chelfham every Sunday to view the restoration progress and enjoy a trackbed and woodland walk.
As the Year 2 children (6/7 year olds) attending All Saints C of E School, Dulverton are about to embark on a mini-project about trains, Head of Teaching and Learning Carly Hatch arranged a visit to Woody Bay.
On Wednesday 12th November, the children and their teachers duly arrived for a ride on the 10.45am train followed by a talk from Dave Tooke. A good time was had by all.
The seasonal 'Bonfire Night' always provides an excuse for bonfires. The evening of November 5th saw an L&B social event with a Bonfire and Firework display at Rowley Moor Farm.
The annual L&B Members "Get-together" will be held as usual at Bratton Fleming Sports Club, Benton Road, Bratton Fleming, EX31 4RY on Saturday 8th November 2014.
Doors open at 11:00. Proceedings commence at 11:30 approximately.
The following day 9th November is Remembrance Sunday. We will once again be holding our traditional Service of Remembrance at Woody Bay Station, commencing at 10:55 approximately.
