Winter maintenance work continues at Woody Bay...
1. A chance to clear out and clean some of the surface drains around the station building.
2.Roger, Graham and Dave tackled this job.

3.More progress on the repaint of Hunslet works diesel HEDDON HALL. Pete Williams (left) assists Jim Pounds with cleaning the top bonnet, above the engine compartment.
4.With no trains for a few days, there's a chance to continue the project to provide a re-sited foot crossing. The point rodding needs to be adjusted to run at a lower level to pass under the timber crossing. Dick Gunn and Don Newnham begin detaching the rods from the cranks.
5.Later, with one rod attached at the lower level, everyone gathers around to see if it'll work with the levers to change the points by the shed.
6.Some concern amongst Dick's gang as the first rod is adjusted and tested.
7.More drainage work for Roger Bye's (centre) gang as another surface run-off pipe from the car park needs a manhole where it will join a pipe running under the transhipment siding.
8. A wooden shuttering chamber was made to be positioned in the hole dug by the gang.
