RIP Gordon Brown Snr

We regret to announce the death of Gordon Brown - one of the writers of the well known history of the line. Until recently, Gordon still made contributions to the project in one way or another.

Phil Rawstron advises that he is in touch with the family and will let us know regarding funeral arrangements etc as soon as possible.

A very sad day for the Surrey Group - of which Gordon was a member of long-standing - and for the greater fellowship of the L&BR.

Winter Prize Draw

The 2019 Winter Prize Draw took place on 16th February and the lucky winners have now received their prizes.

The winners are:-

First Prize – Mr David Hitchcock

Second Prize – Mr Mike Tolley

Third Prize – Mr WR Jones

Fourth Prizes; Mr Ron Tibbits, Mr Martin Slader, Mr Bill Field, Mr CS Cooper

The support this time was excellent with over £14,000 in gross receipts. This sum also includes donations, many thanks to all.

If you didn’t win this time there are just 8 months to wait for another try!
