Santa Specials at Woody Bay - Sunday 7th December

The second day of the 2008 Santa Specials season saw bright, sunny, cold weather at Woody Bay today. The trains were operated by steam locomotive Jung 0-4-0WT 'Justine' currently on loan from the North Gloucester Narrow Gauge Railway at Toddington. Santa was kept busy all day as a steady stream of children and their families visited him in the festively decorated Van 23 serving as 'Santa's Grotto'.

In the station building, visitors enjoyed the traditional mulled wine, mince pies and other catering on offer from the cafe.
