The very heavy snow in South West England last week severely disrupted travel. Lynton was cut off for a few days and consequently no one made it to Woody Bay so there was no WIP report
Our planning applications to extend the railway to Blackmoor Gate and Wistlandpound Reservoir have been approved by our two local authorities, Exmoor National Park and North Devon Council

A new inspection pit in the shed was dug out this week. Most of the work being is carried out by the building contractor, as preparation today was to lay the concrete floor to the pit.
David Cameron has sent us this update regarding Easyfundraising and the L&B Trust.
The Trust now has an increased supporter base of 68 since my last missive, over a year ago, and between them, they have raised in excess of £1900, with the top fundraiser on his way to reaching the £500 mark!!
One of our Trustees is in the No.3 three spot with over £140 raised!
It's official - we are now an award winning railway!
At the HRA Annual Awards Dinner held on the 10th February 2018 at the Burlington Hotel, Birmingham, The Morgan Award for Outstanding Achievements was awarded to the Lynton and Barnstaple Railway for our new-build loco LYN and her associated carriages. We always knew it - but now everyone else knows it too.
