Saturday 30th March: Pound Lane near Wistlandpound
This update to Day 2 from John Barton.
"Whilst the main gang was focused on clearing work at Rowley Moor, a small group based around the “Rest of the World Gang” was helping me with trial pit investigations at Bridge 54."
"A 1.2m deep slit trench was dug through very rocky ground across Pound Lane. This enabled us to locate the 12 inch diameter water main and to confirm that the existing base and foundations of the demolished Lynton abutment are still intact and can be incorporated into the new abutment."
