Working Weekend 29-31st March

Friday 29th – Holwell Wood

The first stage of a 3 year phased clearance of the trackbed through Holwell Wood

This from James Bloomfield: "Here's some photos from Friday morning of trackbed clearance through Holwell Wood."

1. Looking towards Parracombe bank with L&B fence posts marking the boundary.

2. In the other direction: the tracked here curves to the left and enters a cutting that has been filled in.

5. The gang stand clear as a tree is felled.

6. The trackbed curves onto Parracombe embankment.

7. Work done, it's a walk along the now cleared trackbed back to Rowley Cross for lunch.

The afternoon was spent tidying up the picnic site and more tree felling at Rowley Cross.
