Work in Progress - Thursday 6th August

After a July of unsettled weather at Woody Bay, August sees the return of drier, hotter, proper summer weather with a recommencement of the weedkilling program down the line and on the sidings.

Other work carried out today included the fitting of a staircase with concrete base in the shed to access the mezzanine floor area above the workshop.

Meanwhile more S & T work required the digging out by hand of two holes and a trench across the track for the cable run and pulleys to operate a new shunt signal to faciltate the run round movements from the shed to the down platform.
