Work in Progress - Thursday 26th March

The main work today for the Thursday Gang was to install several old rails as fence posts in the ground in a line above the bank to form the shed viewing area for the visitors. The holes were dug and the rails cut to length before being dropped into place, lined and levelled and then cemented in. A works train brought the sand & aggregate mix alongside the site.

Other work on today included putting the picnic tables and seats back into the tea gardens after the former lower lawn area has been levelled and topped with stone this week.

6. The tea gardens area ready for customers this weekend - weather permitting!
