Work in Progress - Thursday 26th February

Today was the turn once again of the Thursday Gang. who continued with the final preparations for the start of the 2009 season - the grand reopening on Sunday. 


 
1. Jim checks the finishing touches in the ladies toilet


 
2. The platform was cleaned and tidied

 
3. Martyn Budd was so busy he couldn't throw ballast for Sam and Fred to chase

4. The new ground signal was fitted but will be connected to the signal box at a later date.  The signal will protect the platform lanes when approaching from the "Welsh side" shed lane

 
5. Work continued on the new Lynton end turnouts.  They are ready for use with local levers, but will eventually be connected to the signal box

There was also a lot of other work done clearing the winter debris from around the station and car park.
