Work in Progress - Thursday 24th September

Final preparations for the Autumn Steam Gala were the main tasks today for the Thursday gang. Early in the morning the digger was in action trimming all the grass on the bank below the car park. This tidying up improves visibility at the photographer's viewpoint for trains approaching Woody Bay.

Other jobs completed today including installing a temporary fence around the 7.25" garden railway, putting a cover over the roof of the stage - to provide weatherproof protection for this weekend's barbeque, and a major tidy-up of some of the areas around the site viewed by the public.
