A lovely autumnal day at Woody Bay today and the Thursday Group volunteers were tasked with a variety of jobs. In the shed Brom Bromidge and Martin Andrews continued the programme of moving equipment in the stores to the new mezzanine floor space. This will create a less cluttered environment in the shed when all locomotives and carriages are inside this winter.
Outside, Nigel Thompson, Richard Willey and Dave Blencowe assisted Martyn Budd driving the mini-digger to move several long lengths of rail from the bank behind the overflow car park to store on bogie flat No.28321 pending transport to Killington Lane for storage. Two sold surplus lightweight 'Jubilee' turnouts were also moved off the bank to await their despatch to other narrow gauge railways.

2. Newly refurbished and repainted Bogie flat wagon No. 28321 with the load of rails.
3. Positioning a 'Jubilee' turnout ready for collection by its new owner.
4. The passenger train was hauled by SID today as seen in perfect light from the photographers viewpoint in the overflow car park.
