Work in Progress - Thursday 17th June

A Bright and sunny summers day on Exmoor.  The Thursday gang were tasked with a variety of track maintenance jobs such as jacking and packing a low spot near one of the occupation crossings and further tidying of the track ballast by raking the stone off the sleeper ends and levelling the shoulder as required.

Finally by 3pm all the remaining untidied ballast along the whole line had been attended to for this year by the permanent way gangs.
