Work in Progress: Sunday 19th February

1. The most important job was to maintain a fire in the lounge and enjoy the lunch and tea breaks. Brian Pullen, John O'Dell, Martin Andrews and Nigel Thompson pose for the camera (taken by Serena Pullen)



2. From the original window in the kitchen, plenty of bird activity is evident on the feeders despite their loss of cover after last months removal of the laurel behind and on the bank here.



3. The mornings work resulted in a trailer load of cut logs ready to be despatched.



4. After lunch the gang continue cutting down some small trees overhanging the trackbed in the Bratton Fleming direction away from the station.

7. John O'Dell and Brian Pullen cut up a fallen tree across the trackbed.



8. As more light now gets in to the trackbed, one can clearly see the slight curve of the route looking back to the station.



9. More piles by the lineside await the next round of bonfires as the route north is exposed. The caravan on the trackbed marks the boundary where the L & B's land is briefly bisected by our neighbours at Valley Cottage.
