Work in Progress - Saturday 24th January

The L&B January working weekend continued at a similar pace to the previous two days.   

The first job on Saturday was to remove the rails that had been lifted the day before, stacking them securely ready for future use.  Some will be kept at Woody Bay for use as fence posts.

Work continued on the Woody Bay signal box and point rodding ready for the new points to be fitted.  These points will be fitted towards the end of February during another weekend working party.

 
After lunch most of the group adjourned to Cricket Field Lane to continue the scrub clearance which had been started in November. 
 
The day ended with a slap-up meal at the Fox & Goose - a favourite haunt in the village of Parracombe, as the volunteers recovered from their exertions of the day, and prepare for tomorrow...
