It’s gone cold again at Woody Bay, so not so many volunteers today……
1. …..but still a good turnout for the 3pm tea and cakes break in the marquee.
2. This week young Bradley Lambert from Torrington has been at Woody Bay on a "work-experience" programme. Today, Bradley (under expert tuition from driver Pete Williams) enjoyed a footplate experience on AXE.
3. During a quiet moment at Woody Bay Station, Hunslet diesel HEDDON HALL runs through with the excavator.
4. AXE arrives at Woody Bay. The fresh eggs for sale to the visitors are supplied by Sunnyside Farm, Parracombe.
5. Dave Robinson begins to dig a couple of holes for some posts by the concrete hut.
6. This Thursday gang project seemed to take all morning. Jim Price (left) finally checks on the position and levels of this poster board being attached to the posts by the concrete signal cabin by the marquee.
7. More work on PILTON today by Nick Slade and John Uphill.
8. Dick Gunn fabricated this new signal cable termination box at home.
9. Dick shows off his handiwork.
