Work in Progress: 20th June

1. AXE is back in daily service and working well. Still to be lined out, AXE is seen at Woody Bay during the run round.

2. Fireman today was Pete Hendy enjoying shovelling coal into AXE's firebox.

3. Controller, Dave Tooke by the signal cabin at Woody Bay.

4. It was quite a busy day with several coach parties arriving. AXE was the centre of attention on each trip and well photographed by the visitors today.

5. Graham Varney drives AXE away from Woody Bay with an afternoon working.

6. For the Thursday gang, the task today was to complete the refencing alongside the car park. The excavator had removed the old netting fence and wooden posts. The gang stretch out the new wire between the concrete posts by the car park.

7. By 5 pm the job was complete with spacers fixed in place between the wires.

8. Close up the new fence with the correct SR style concrete posts and wire allowing a better boundary impression as visitors walk from their cars towards the station.
