With full possession of the line on one of the last Thursdays without service trains before the season, the main task was to run a works train down to Killington Lane in order to undertake some tidying up.
1. The works train of Hunslet Diesel HEDDON HALL sandwiched between wagons at Killington Lane.
After lunch Martyn Budd used the mini-digger to unloaded the bogie flat (28321) of surplus rails for storage and the bogie open (28320) of spoil from last weeks digging behind the kitchen for the drainage work.
Other work involved a car and trailer trip to Chelfham Station with signalling materials. The Tallylyn Signalling Gang, Murray Dods, Geoff Loynes, Tim Wilkinson and Rob Prosser, have recently been down to check, rearrange and stocktake the signalling equipment .
At Killington Lane in the afternoon the weather deteriorated as the last spoil was unloaded and the works train reassembled to work back to Woody Bay.

New Posters
In readiness for the new season, Ian Cowling has organised and had printed a number of new posters which are now displayed on the poster boards around Woody Bay Station building.
4. 'Ingleton', a new holiday destination poster.

5. Channel Islands Guernsey & Jersey and the famous SR poster on the boards by the kitchen.

6. Although a long way from Woody Bay, Helensburgh was and remains an important resort for Scotland's Clyde Coast..
