This week's WIP report is provided by Roger Bye
There is always a requirement for a good supply of wood for lighting the fires of our steam locomotives.
1. Here Dave, Malcolm, Tim and Chris load up wagon No. 28420 with scrap wood delivered to the car park.
2. This was then shunted by HEDDON HALL - looking smart after its recent repaint - past the stock of concrete fence posts...
3. ...to the loading dock siding where Dave, Dave, Peter and Dave unloaded the timber, whilst others were kept busy cutting it up ...
4. ... which was then shunted to the wood store near the coal stage for unloading.
5. Graham....
6. .....and Dave prepared LYN for duties today...
7. ...before sharing Driving and Firing duties
8. Later in the day work was in hand tidying, clearing and levelling areas of the site. Dave and Dave are not slacking - just waiting for their barrows to be filled by Dave, Steve, Roger, Malcolm and Gerry.

9. John, Michael and Nick worked on ISAAC; seen here on test outside the shed alongside the new water crane - another creation of our ingenious engineering staff.
10. & 11 All this work an essential part of our efforts to keep our trains running and admired by our visitors.
