Rain stops play!

There is not much to report from Woody Bay this week as I only attempted to take one picture; Dick and Don getting soaked in the driving rain!

The rest of the Thursday troop went with GM Martyn Budd to Brentor to carry on with the work required there. I was left behind - luckily as it turned out - as there was a power failure in the shed due to a distribution board failure.

After calling Dave Blencowe we agreed this will be put right on Sunday. We had discussed this very problem a few weeks ago and agreed that it needed attention, but as is the way with these things it gave up the ghost before we could effect a repair. The problem temporarily interrupted some scheduled carriage repairs. However, this is now complete and the vehicle is awaiting a test tomorrow.
