Rain all day so the projects underway in the shed seemed more inviting than any outdoor work. However full credit to Dave Bloomfield, Dave Drayson and Jim McFarlane who still managed to find some odd jobs to do outside and subsequently suffered a soaking both before and after lunch.
The carriage bogie maintenance and overhaul programme is well underway this week. Coach No.1's bogies have already been cleaned and the brake blocks renewed. The bogies were returned underneath and pipes reconnected. Next over the pit was Coach No.3 (the composite).

In the afternoon we were treated to by a visit by founder member and L&B historian, Paul Gower. Paul, now an active member with the Surrey Area Group, had been a volunteer at Woody Bay in the early years helping to establish the station site, begining the award winning signalling scheme, and assisting in several engineering projects underway then. Passing by on business, Paul called in to view progress on the current projects at Woody Bay.

7. SID's cab in store has a new use today in the rain as a dog kennel for Sam.
