Work in Progress: 11th February

 Work to rebuild the headshunt wall continues:

Following on from the work undertaken by volunteers last Thursday, this Tuesday contractors were on site creating a block wall onto the new foundations.

After a wet start, the sun came out, although the temperature did not rise beyond “very cold”!

The photos above show the contractors working from a mobile workbench on the main line, whilst our staff provided materials and assistance from above. (Note both HEDDON HALL and D6652 in use during today's operation.)

Once the blockwork is complete, it will be concealed behind a rebuilt stone wall, using the original materials, carefully stacked just below the main line.
