This weeks report once again comes from Nigel Thompson.


1. Guard Bob Ayres waiting for the arrival of today's first visitors - stands alongside the rostered locomotive LYN.

2. An alternative view of driver Graham Bridge seen through LYN's spectacle plate. and 3. Fireman Tom Woods looking out from his side window.

4. LYN ready to depart from the up platform.

5. LYN departs Woody Bay past the Thursday gang in a hole....


6. After last week's hole digging for the septic tank's new inspection chamber, Steve Hilsdon has a go in the hole as we await the extra pipe fittings to be installed.

Later this gang resumed the track maintenance programme by recommencing sleeper renewals at various locations along the running line.



7. The well trodden path to the visitor toilet block was surface dressed with some fresh stone chippings. Dave Pratt and Jim McFarlane rake and smooth the path.

8. Graham Rust trims the side to widen the newly surface-dressed path to the toilets.


9. Dave Bloomfield reads the new display board listing all the steam locomotives that have visited t Woody Bay Station. Later, Dave affixed this alongside all the other locomotive information boards recently attached to the fence overlooking the shed.
