A quieter time for visitors now, with the railway still open mid-week and weekends during October.
It has turned colder, but was bright and sunny for most of the day. AXE was working the passenger train with Graham Varney (Driver), Andy Foster (Fireman) and Bob Ayres (Guard). Tony Cross looked after the booking office/shop and his wife Irene, with Martin & June Mansfield, were the catering staff today.

The Thursday Gang regulars had a busy day sorting more stored signalling equipment, further painting work on the restored lever frame, and some electrical work within the shed.
4. Inside the shed, Don Newnham works on one of the two recently acquired Tyers' Tablet Instruments. These are being refurbished and restored and will form a key feature of the signalling mechanisms as the railway extends towards Blackmoor Gate.
