2015 marks the Centenary of the Women’s Institute, and many special events are taking place around the country to celebrate this milestone. On Saturday 19th September, about 60 local ladies (accompanied by a few gentlemen) came to Woody Bay Station to take a nostalgic ride on the train.
This was followed by a "cream tea" - provided in grand style by the L&B's catering supremo Judy Williams.
The sun was shining, and everyone really enjoyed the occasion. Our thanks to Kate Williams for arranging this visit - husband Pete was driving the train!
