Track Work Party - Sunday 11 July - Volunteers wanted!

All volunteers welcome at Woody Bay to assist with some major upgrading of trackwork on the transhipment siding next Sunday, 11th July.

The job will include some rerailing (up to 50lb. weight rail) and regrading of the formation on the siding. There should be no disruption to passenger trains while this project is carried out. The transhipment siding from the car park to the station needs to be upgraded to permit the safe and smooth passage of heavier locomotives and rolling stock such as replica Manning Wardle 'LYD' and heritage coaches in the forthcoming Galas.
