The Talyllyn Group of L&B stalwarts - Rob Prosser, Tim Wilkinson, Geoff Loynes and Murray Dods arrived at Woody Bay this weekend with the aim of installing as much as possible of the remaining signal rodding required to connect the final turnout at the Lynton end with the groundframe.
After a hard weekends graft, all the rodding pedestals are now in place as well as most of the rodding, signal pulleys and the point locking mechanism. So not quite finished but not too much to do now.
Murray Dods at long last had his first turn on Axe's footplate.
It is a long way from Towyn to North Devon - so our thanks as always to this dedicated group from the Talyllyn Railway who for many years have given their support in time and knowledge to the L&B.
