I was first interested in volunteering when I became a member because I like doing practical work. I have worked on many areas of the railway, but track laying was certainly the most fun. I have never felt left out as a result of being only 14 and it hasn't stopped me doing ordinary jobs. Anyone who would like to offer their services I am sure will be very welcome regardless of age or occupation, you do not need special skills and you'll certainly be very well welcomed.
