SID sold to Sweden

This just in from Tony Nicholson:

It can now be confirmed that SID Maffei works No. 4127 of 1925 has been sold to the Risten-Lakvik Museum Railway near Stockholm Sweden.

Their Chairman Kurt Djurström, sent us this photo of SID arriving at Lakvik on 12 December

The name plates were removed before the loco left Woody Bay as at its new home, SID has been giving the running number 3, and has been renamed LAKVIK.

The L&B owes a debt of gratitude to the trustees who back in 2007 provided this steam loco for the railway's use. If SID hadn't been made available, the only other option would have been to continue to use diesel motive power.
