Baddick & Dymond, Exeter Road, Braunton, 01271 812042.

This from John's son Philip:

"We know he was not only a member at Lynton & Barnstaple Railway Trust but also helped as a volunteer with painting and maintenance as well as being Father Christmas until a few years ago when he was mobile and enjoying better health.

He used to treat us all as a family to a day out at Woody Bay (4 generations) sometimes on the Gala day and on other weekends, in fact the last one was last year the weekend before the Gala day, so that it wasn't so busy for him

I know that he thought a lot of the L&B and would dearly have loved to see the track extended in his lifetime, but sadly this was not to be."

He will be much-missed.
