North West Area Group at Preston Model Railway Show 3/4 March 2012

The L&B NW Group returned to the Preston Show this year, for their second visit.  Peter Ainley and John Berry were in charge on Saturday, with a display of Peter’s G Scale L&B models.

On Sunday, Bob and Sue Barnard attended, and Bob’s large-scale working model of Pilton Yard Signal Box (see below) was displayed, and demonstrated to visiting railway enthusiasts and other family members alike, as required. 

In a side room from the main exhibition, numbers of visitors seemed a bit lower than at some shows, but news of the L&B's progress with work towards the next Phases of rebuilding, and heritage rolling stock, was received with great interest.

The NW group will attend the Wigan Show, this year re-timed to 16 and 17 June.  Anyone interested in the L&B is most welcome to come and find us there, and have a chat.  Even better, contact us first….
