The railway was honoured to receive two particularly special visits during this week, one from Right Reverend Michael Laurence Langrish, Lord Bishop of Exeter, and the other from Devon County Council's Chief Executive, Phil Norrey.
The Lord Bishop's visit was a specially arranged visit to view the railway and also gave the opportunity to give thought to plans for this November's Armistice Day.
The Bishop’s visit came in connection with a visit by Mr Phil Norrey from the County Council. Mr Norrey’s attendance at the railway allowed further discussion to take place about the railway’s future plans and the recent nomination of the railway project as one of the seven economic development projects to be supported by SWRDA for the Northern Peninsula.
As a follow up to the visit we will be discussing specific grant applications with Devon County Council.
