Heritage Coaches Progress to 4th September

The eagerly awaited custom-made brass hinges (84 in total each costing £44.73) were collected by Trust Chairman Peter Miles from the manufacturers in Lincoln on Monday 3rd September. The next day Peter delivered them to Great Yeldham, thus enabling at long last the hanging of all the doors of both coaches.

Meanwhile work on panelling, disabled access doors and paintwork continues. The completion of these coaches is now not very far off. However, glazing, upholstery, door transfers and even more paint is needed so this can happen. Understandably, further funds are still needed and about £8,000 will cover the cost of what is still left to do in order to reach our landmark goal of having two heritage carriages delivered to Woody Bay in the very near future. As always your assistance with funding will be greatly appreciated.
