Francis Maude visits L&B

Cabinet Office Minister, Francis Maude MP and Peter Heaton-Jones (Parliamentary Conservative Party candidate for the Devon North constituency visited the railway at Woody Bay as part of his tour of various social enterprise projects in the region.. His guide was L&BR Trustee and Financial Director Ian Cowling

The Minister was clearly impressed and described the railway as ‘Something very special’. He went on to say: “What’s inspiring about this is the scale, I had no idea. They are not daunted and are willing to take a long term view, just quietly getting on with it to put together something very special that actually has a real benefit to the local economy.”
