Food & Drink Festival 9th/10th July
A most enjoyable and convivial two days which generated a small profit for the railway. Regrettably few photos were taken but here are two more from the Sunday.
1. The beer tent did good business - thanks largely to the efforts of Pete and Julia Snashall - who regularly travel to North Devon from their home in Kent just to volunteer on the L&B.
2. Peter Miles, Richard Drewer and Steve Ball discuss the finer merits of each of the cakes - which was won by a very nice lemon curd sponge. Our thanks to all those that took part and to the Hunters Inn and the Fox and Goose for providing the prizes.

The Sunday morning special - bacon cooked on the fireman's shovel - was well received with many rolls sold in the short period of time available.
Trust Chairman and Fireman Peter Miles in charge of the shovel.
A lucky customer!
Despite the bacon being cooked quickly - having a small shovel, one fire and one cook made for a queue. Controller Dave Tooke and nearly everyone else checks their watches whilst trainee fireman David Horsfall supervises!
