Hosted by the Greenwich and District narrow Gauge Railway Society, Expo NG is an annual model railway exhibition held in Swanley, Kent.
Ron Hill from the L&B Essex group headed the L&B delegation over the Dartford Crossing into Kent. He reports:
I have been going the Expo NG for many years and knew it was the right place for the L&B to be, and were we busy! Quite often the public were standing three deep around the stand keen to know more about us and progress on the line.
This is a very well attended show and everyone there is into the narrow gauge. We even signed-up people on the spot.
Six of us went, and left shattered, but with big grins on our faces.
The show is a must for anyone modeling in anything from 009 to G-scale, and the standard is very high, with layouts and a lot of trade stands.
We were very well received, and left with the request 'would you like to come back next year, and would you like a bigger stand?'.
I guess we must have done something right"
Ron.
