Exmoor Enterprise Presentation at Parracombe Parish Council Meeting

Exmoor Enterprise, the project body set up by the L&B Trust to manage the extension of the railway from Lynton to Wistlandpound, has made, as part of the process, several presentations to local councils and residents over the last year. The latest presentation was held on Tuesday 15th September 2009 at Parracombe Village PACT (Partners And Communities Together) public meeting.

Invited by Parracombe Parish Council, the Hall was packed and eager to hear the Railway's plans for its extension through the village. Over sixty people including invited representatives from highways, Exmoor National Park, the Police and local councillors all listened in rapt attention as Ian Cowling, the Project Manager of Exmoor Enterprise outlined our plans which were favourably received.

The question-and-answer session that followed was brought to a conclusion by one lady who said to warm applause that the Railway would be "a fantastic asset for the village."
