With Coach 17's underframe complete, work is scheduled to commence on Coach 7's underframe - with delivery anticipated in February.

There has been much discussion regarding a third or indeed a fourth heritage coach and this has of course already been the subject of discussions by both Company and Trust Boards.  What is clear is that coach 4 as built is not a suitable candidate having insufficient third class accommodation. Coach 11 - a seven compartment all third - is a more appropriate as indeed is Coach 16 - an all third brake - of which we have one or two relics. 

However, before any work is undertaken on anything new, there is still a great deal of work required to complete these two coaches. Anyone up for lending the guys a hand at Great Yeldham please contact Essex Group Chairman Michael Dee or email enquiries@lynton-rail.co.uk.
