The Virtual Thursday Gang.
This week we held the first of our Virtual Thursday Gang meetings, organised and hosted by Barrie. Phil (from Torrington) , Malcolm (from Tiverton), Clive (from Parracombe), Dave H (from Lynton) met up on line with Barrie, Roger, Nigel and Dave B (from Barnstaple). We are hoping others will join in when they have sorted out the technology!
We exchanged experiences of the current shutdown and discussed how we thought the Railway would be affected financially and technically with all work currently at a standstill.
Nigel suggested that in place of the usual Work in Progress Reports from Woody Bay, instead we provide reports about the work that the Thursday Gang members are doing at home.
Work is in hand on token machine restoration, carriage drop light refurbishment, station platform lamp renovation as well as various administrative work such as the revision of the Rule Book and drafting of procedures and other documents.
Over the coming weeks, we will be posting pictures and text describing some of the work in hand, despite the shutdown.
The Thursday Gang wish all our readers all the best.

Hi Gents - Great to see the online gang exists and still hard at work - missed my L & B "fix" this Winter on all three occasions for a variety of reasons culminating in the coronavirus outbreak. My best wishes to you all and hope to see you at some stage this year, either from the footplate or at a working weekend (November?) - if not, then 2021 can't come soon enough!!
