18th May ISAAC - Naming Ceremony at Pothmadog

Well, we made it! After a fantastic effort (and a quantity of late night oil) from the guys at Boston Lodge, Isaac appeared for invited guests at a naming ceremony at the Ffestiniog Railway's Harbour Station on Saturday evening.

After a short introduction by FR&WHR General Manager Paul Lewin, the loco was named by the owner's uncle who then unveiled the traditional curtains, to reveal the nameplates.

Special thanks must go to Bob Yates and Jon Whalley and all the other staff at Boston Lodge who have worked so hard to get the loco to this point.

It is back to the works now, for fitting of air and vacuum brakes, followed by a period of running in on the Welsh Highland.
